IRSP Graduate Affiliate and Certificate Programs
IRSP Graduate Affiliate Program
UCLA doctoral students who conduct empirical research on some aspect of social relationships, broadly defined to include dating, marriage, family relations, friendship, student-teacher relationships, relations at work, etc., are encouraged to become IRSP Graduate Student Affiliates. Students from social sciences and life sciences are eligible. These students will be invited to IRSP events and their research will be described on our website.
IRSP Graduate Certificate Program in Relationship Science

Doctoral students with a strong research interest in social relationships may also complete the IRSP Certificate Program in Relationship Science. This is similar to a graduate "minor." The certificate is awarded upon completion of all program requirements. Students from social sciences and life sciences are eligible.
Requirements of the IRSP Certificate Program

1. Take the IRSP interdisciplinary graduate seminar

2. Take 2 additional graduate courses or independent study courses that contribute to interdisciplinary breadth in the study of personal relationships. At least one course must be outside the student's home department. Courses must be approved by the IRSP Director.

3. Attend at least 3 quarters of the IRSP Research Science Forum.

Students who intend to complete the Certificate Program should contact the IRSP Program Coordinator to complete a brief information sheet.
