How to Apply For IRSP Graduate Programs
IRSP Graduate Training Program



In the spring, IRSP reviews applications from first year UCLA doctoral students who are interested in receiving an IRSP Traineeship. Applications for the 2009-10 academic year will be available in March 2009. Applicants must be first year graduate students from the departments of Anthropology, Education, Psychology, or Sociology. Preference is given to students with a demonstrated research interest in some aspect of personal or social relationships. Applications are reviewed by the IRSP Trainee Selection Committee. Applications for the 2008-09 academic year are now being accepted. The deadline is April 3, 2008 at 2 PM. For more information contact the IRSP Program Coordinator Youssef Boroumand. Applications are reviewed by the IRSP Trainee Selection Committee.

Because of federal regulations, only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to receive NSF stipends.

IRSP Graduate Affiliate Program
UCLA doctoral students in life sciences and social sciences who are conducting research on social relationships can become "IRSP Graduate Affiliates." To apply to become an IRSP Graduate Affiliate, contact the IRSP Program Coordinator to complete a brief information sheet.
IRSP Graduate Certificate Program in Relationship Science
UCLA doctoral students in life sciences and social sciences with a strong research interest in social relationships may complete the Certificate Program in Relationship Science. This is similar to a graduate "minor." The certificate is awarded upon completion of all program requirements. Students who intend to complete the Certificate Program should contact the IRSP Program Coordinator to complete a brief information sheet.
