Research:

Currently, my research examines the extent to which neighborhood context explains racial and ethnic group differences in civic engagement and social participation. Using the Los Angeles Family and Neighborhood Survey, I examine the influence of individual level factors such as SES, household and demographic characteristics as well as environmental level factors related to the social context of one’s neighborhood on various acts of civic engagement and social participation.
